USE
Before first use:
Clean your sponge with soap and water then disinfect it in a glass by adding one to two drops of niaouli essential oil. Let it air dry.
Use of the sponge during menstruation:
You must soak your menstrual sponge with warm water and press it lightly to remove the excess water before putting it in your vagina. The sponge should be removed as often as a tampon. When it is engorged with blood, it naturally descends into the vagina. This is how you will know when to rinse it off. When you remove it, you should rinse it with cold water, then wash it with soap and water before replacing it.
At the end of your period, you should clean your sponge with soap and water and then disinfect it with niaouli essential oil.
To disinfect it, soak it in a container of water with a drop of niaouli essential oil.
Let it air dry.
The vaginal sponge is not likely to get “stuck” in your vagina.
Warning : the use of a sea sponge is not recommended if you wear an IUD.
